DAMYAN DAMYANOV
Born 1982.
Damyan Damyanov works primary in the fields of painting, calligraphy, poster, and graphic design. In 2007 he became a resident of Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris.
"I have no recipe for inspiration. Sometimes the tiniest, least obvious and mundane details of life turn out to be the fruitful seeds of my work", says Damyanov.
Diverse in subject matter and technique, Damyanov's art is never boring, always on the edge. The young artist first attracted attention with his unique approach to mixing classic media, such as aquarelle, with the infinite array of options in graphics software, be it in a painting, a poster, or a book cover.
Participations include "For a Better World" poster exhibition in Barcelona and Geneva, as well as the "Bulgarian Theater Poster Exhibition" in Basel, Switzerland in 2005.
Participation and an award in "Seasons" - a competition-exhibition of BMG and Adobe;
Participation in the Fourth International Triennial of Stage Poster, UBA, Sofia.
