Born in 1952.
Rumyana Bakurdjieva graduated from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia where she specialized in silicate forms.

Rumyana works primarily in the fields of sculpture and ceramics. For over 20 years she has been creating alluring decorative ceramic art, characterized by a captivating color and texture composition, and inspired by the pure essence of the elements. A favorite subject of Rumyna's art is the sky, explored in a series of pieces.

Rumyana Bakurdjieva has won tremendous praise and recognition for her work on both sides of the Atlantic. Her pieces have been acquired by private collectors in the US, Sweden, Italy, UK and Israel.
